NOTE: Design Engineering HT Silicone Coating spray is highly recommended for DEI glass fiber wrap to penetrate, seal, protect and prolong the lifespan of exhaust wrap.

This Thermal insulating material is resistant to most chemicals & withstands temps up to 1200 degrees Fahrenheit and 2000F intermittent temperatures. Wrap is designed to provide protection for engine components from high heat radiated by exhaust pipes. This wrap is 2" wide at 1/16" thick. 50ft for dual motorcycle pipes is recommended.

Wrap is used on street & race bikes for a couple reasons: It acts as a primary heat shield and the wrap acts as a stabilizer and strengthener to discourage the exhaust from pressure induced failure. The wrap promotes the exhaust flow to go towards the end of the exhaust pipe and not out of the side of the bike with a bang. The exhaust going out the exhaust pipe helps pull more air and fuel into the cylinder, adding power. When gasses cool, they shrink in volume which causes it to travel slower; it pulls less fuel/air charge into the cylinder. Wrap helps to keep the thermal retention and expedites exhaust flow for a more efficient system...this thermal retention actually increases horsepower! Wrap also reduces the chances of localized wiring and hoses from premature failure. Material is non-flammable and resists petroleum products.

DIRECTIONS: Begin to wrap each exhaust tube at the port flange. Wrap tightly in forward overlapping spiral and secure w/ hose clamp.
